Hello, and thank you for checking out Bold Red Creative! I’m Stefanie Shick, a Nashville-based artist branding and social media strategist for intentional creatives. I’m passionate about helping talented musicians, photographers, and other creative entrepreneurs deliver hope and beauty to the world.
With so many people trying to get noticed online, the world of social media can be overwhelming. Consistently creating and posting valuable content that increases visibility and engages the perfect audience can be time-consuming. A social media strategy is essential to build trust and grow relationships online. Fortunately, those who are also truly making a positive difference in the lives of others will stand out from the rest.
Where does my passion for encouraging creatives come from? As the wife of a musician, I’ve witnessed first-hand the journey of an artist struggling to find his place and purpose, especially while being dedicated to his growing family. About five years ago, I even started a personal blog about this and spotlighted the challenges and inspirations of other up-and-coming musicians and creatives. I know how difficult it can be to try to balance relationships, family, dreams, financial obligations, chores, a new business, and spiritual growth. For the last ten years, I have been a supervisor at a community mental health agency. Some may think that it is quite a career change to go from social work to social media, but the objective is the same – to offer hope.
I want to help gifted individuals who have priorities outside of their creative talent still find a way to pursue their God-given abilities and share their personal message to serve others. Since moving to Nashville over a decade ago, I’ve witnessed authenticity in the music industry take a backseat to good looks and empty lyrics. In my quest to discover how I can best help the talented, underdog creatives in my life, I decided to dive into the world of social media marketing. Two years ago, I completed the amazing Social Media Manager School course and I continue to constantly research and study to keep up with the ever-changing algorithms and guidelines on various networks.
In addition to learning all I can about online marketing, storytelling, and community-building, this Indiana native enjoys cheering for Notre Dame, reading inspirational biographies, and listening to good music. Some of my favorite books and artists include Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy by Eric Metaxas, The Art of Work by Jeff Goins, The Rhythm of Life by Matthew Kelly, Johnnyswim, Vince Gill, and Chris Stapleton. I’m also a sucker for a good quote!
I’d love to help you use your platform to deliver the unique message of hope you have to offer! I can increase your mission’s visibility and find your ideal fans on social media, while you focus on creating and tending to other important small business tasks.
